Claudia Paris (University of Twente) is the winner of the 2026 Tienstra Research Prize. Her selection was announced by jury chairman Arnold Bregt during the NCG symposium on June 22 in Utrecht. The jury is of the opinion, among other things, that Claudia Paris has built a highly interdisciplinary and methodologically innovative research profile at the intersection of remote sensing, geoinformation science, and artificial intelligence.
Every two years, the NCG awards the Tienstra Research Prize to a young researcher who is encouraged by the prize to conduct further research.
