The Netherlands Centre for Geodesy and Geo-Informatics (NCG) awards the Prof. J.M. Tienstra Research Prize every two years. This prize is awarded to researchers under the age of 40 who have conducted particularly meritorious research in the aforementioned field in the Netherlands, and consists of an Award and a cash amount of €2,500.
The aim of the prize is to promote and make visible research in the Netherlands in the field of geo-informatics and geodesy. This year, the prize will be presented during the NCG symposium on June 22 in Utrecht.
You can nominate a suitable candidate or nominate yourself as a candidate until May 11. Submit nominations for the prize via info@ncgeo.nl. A nomination must consist of:
-details about the candidate: name, address (private and work), employer where the research was conducted, brief biography;
-a CV of the candidate;
-the considerations that led to the nomination of the person-an appendix consisting of the publication(s) in which the research to be assessed is documented (e.g. thesis, report, dissertation, scientific article).
